Bald Cypress has become increasingly popular as a landscape tree in Florida, especially for screens and hedges. Although relatively free of serious disease problems, several diseases are becoming more common. These include Seiridium and Botryosphaeria cankers, Cercospora needle blight, and Phytophthora and Annosus root rots.
Care Information
Densely packed foliage is bright emerald green. Very fast growth, up to 3 feet per year in youth makes a quick solution to problem views or lack of privacy, though best reserved for estates or large commercial sites. Tolerant of most soils. Evergreen.
