Description:

Evergreen tree with conical crown and stout, horizontal branches.

Height: 40-70' (12-21 m).
Diameter: 1-2' (0.3-0.6 m).
Leaves: opposite in 4 rows; 1/16" (1.5 mm) long. Scalelike, keeled; dull gray-green, mostly with gland-dot that exudes whitish resin.
Bark: varying from gray or dark brown, rough, and furrowed, to reddish-brown, smooth, thin, and peeling.
Twigs: 4-angled, slightly stout, branching almost at right angles.
